Overlooking the gardens of historic Vaucluse House, the Vaucluse House Tearooms is the perfect location for dining with friends and family or hosting your next special event.
Vaucluse House is surrounded by 10 hectares of picturesque gardens and grounds stretching down to Sydney Harbour. The sandstone mansion was built in the 1830s and was the home of William Charles Wentworth and his family. The Tearooms were added later in the 1930’s in art deco style.
The estate is a peaceful oasis away from the hectic city bustle. Our Manager will attend to your every need while you dine in the historic Tearooms or enjoy the alfresco dining on the patio. Enjoy breakfast and coffee with the morning paper, lunch with friends or try our acclaimed High Tea in the elegant, relaxed surroundings.
For your function enquiries, our Event Manager will ensure that every detail is covered to guarantee that your event is stress free and professionally managed at every step. Whether you are organizing a birthday celebration, christening, anniversary or a wedding we will work closely with you to ensure a memorable and successful event.
The food and beverage at the Vaucluse House Tearooms are exclusively provided by Fresh Catering, one of Sydney’s finest and most awarded caterers. Fresh Catering have been in operation since 1999 and provide catering to a number of venues throughout Sydney as well as providing outside catering for clients in marquees and private homes.
Fresh Catering prides itself on providing superior customer service, reliability, flexibility & creativity. A small lunch or an event for thousands; each event is handled with the same attention to detail and “can do” attitude.
The Vaucluse House and Grounds are managed by Sydney Living Museums who are dedicated to conserving some of our most important historic buildings.
